The ferrado is originally a measure of volume used in Galicia to measure cereals or legumes.. It consists of a wooden crate, rectangular in shape, approximately 60 x 30 x 20 cm, with a capacity of between 12 and 20 kilos, depending on the type of cereal or legume.
